A Curvilinear Approach to Radical Philanthropy
The Lien Foundation Office at Wisma Atria redefines the conventional workspace through an interior concept shaped by values of social innovation and compassion.
Designed in close collaboration with the client, the space embodies the foundation’s ethos of “radical philanthropy,” favouring warmth, openness, and human-centric functionality over rigid corporate formality. This 119 sqm office is not just a place of work — it’s a spatial expression of mission-driven advocacy, shaped by fluidity and clarity.
Curved partitions, floating work surfaces, and sweeping ceiling lines invite movement and dialogue, fostering a sense of purposeful flow throughout the environment. Here, interior architecture becomes a storytelling vessel — echoing the foundation’s commitment to eldercare, early childhood education, and sustainable outreach with every spatial gesture.

Spatial Flow and Organic Form

The Lien Foundation Office reimagines workplace design as an ecosystem of openness, empathy, and collaboration. This central workspace is sculpted by curvilinear desks and integrated seating that dissolve the rigid hierarchies of traditional office layouts. The use of sweeping forms not only facilitates physical movement but also symbolises the foundation’s adaptive and people-centric mission—where care and communication are at the heart of every function.
Natural light filters through a continuous line of full-height windows, activating the bright green accents and rhythmic carpet pattern with dynamic shadows throughout the day. Suspended ceiling curves mirror the fluidity of the layout below, visually anchoring the space while softening its geometry. These design elements enhance spatial legibility, allowing work zones to remain open yet intuitively defined, and fostering a calm and dignified environment for dialogue and focused work.
Function meets intention in every detail—from the gently arcing benches that encourage informal gathering to the seamless integration of workstations with storage and display. This is a workspace that doesn’t just accommodate work but elevates it through spatial generosity, emotional clarity, and a commitment to making even administrative environments feel human and hopeful.
The Lien Foundation Office stands as a testament to how thoughtful interior design can reflect and reinforce organizational values.
By prioritizing spatial fluidity, material harmony, and user well-being, the design creates more than just an office—it fosters a sense of purpose and belonging.
In this space, form supports function, and the everyday act of working becomes an experience rooted in empathy, clarity, and quiet inspiration.
