New Space – Architects

Symphony of Stone, Wood, Metals & Water

At the heart of the Alila Lakeside Hotel’s identity is a carefully orchestrated symphony of stone, wood, metals, and water — a material palette that draws inspiration from the surrounding landscape while shaping a refined sensory experience.

Stone grounds the architecture in permanence and calm, while timber adds warmth and human scale to interior spaces. Metal accents, subtly integrated, bring contrast and craftsmanship, and water features weave softness, reflection, and movement throughout the site.

More than aesthetic choices, these materials are integral to the design’s philosophy — blurring the line between architecture and nature, and creating a tranquil, immersive environment that feels both rooted and timeless.

Each element is thoughtfully placed to evoke a sense of stillness and clarity, encouraging guests to slow down and connect with their surroundings. Together, they transform the resort into a living landscape — one that breathes, reflects, and inspires.

Architecture Embraced by Nature

In this aerial perspective, the masterplanning of Singwood Resort – Alila Lakeside Hotel reveals its harmonious relationship with terrain, water, and horizon. Buildings gently cascade down the contours of the mountain slope toward the lakeshore, their geometry carefully choreographed to retain panoramic views while respecting the integrity of the natural topography.

The architecture is arranged as a series of linear pavilions and courtyards, interconnected by walkways that emulate the organic flow of the land. Green roofs seamlessly merge built form with the surrounding hillscape, reducing visual impact while enhancing thermal performance. The cluster of timber-clad guest blocks rests along the water’s edge, dissolving the boundary between interior comfort and the soothing presence of the lake.

From this vantage, the project reads as a holistic landscape—an integrated system of living, leisure, and reflection. The density is never imposed; instead, it is softly woven into the earth, framing the terrain’s poetry and extending the spirit of Alila’s eco-conscious hospitality.

Interior Design in Rhythm with Nature

This spacious lobby of Singwood Resort – Alila Lakeside Hotel illustrates the architectural language of calm and clarity. Natural light streams in through a full-height glazed façade, softened by gentle blinds and filtered by the rhythmic timber ceiling slats above. The interplay of wood, stone, and glass creates an immersive threshold space that bridges the lush outdoors with the composed interiors.

The material palette draws from the surrounding context—earth-toned timber panels, textured stone columns, and tactile fabrics come together in quiet harmony. Seating zones are framed like living rooms, allowing for conversation, contemplation, or rest. This interior sequence does more than welcome; it introduces a refined sensory palette that is deeply rooted in biophilic hospitality.

As guests transition through this space, the spatial choreography slows the pace, inviting them into a state of ease. The design carefully avoids excess, embracing restraint to express elegance. It is not only an arrival lobby—it is a meditative pause, reflecting Alila’s ethos of luxury born from mindfulness and place.

Where Landscape, Architecture, and Interior Converge

The Singwood Resort – Alila Lakeside Hotel is more than a resort — it is a symphonic composition of earth, water, and structure, where every element is attuned to its natural surroundings. From its sculpted coastline footprint to the warm serenity of its interiors, the project offers a seamless integration of design disciplines that elevate the guest experience through intentionality and grace.

This is a place where architecture becomes landscape, and interiors become atmosphere — forming a sanctuary that is both grounded and transcendent. The result is a retreat that feels timeless, contemplative, and deeply connected to nature — a quiet masterpiece shaped by light, material, and soul.
