Sculpting Shadows with Timber Screens

The architectural expression of the Kasai Road Private Residence is defined by its striking operable timber screens—meticulously crafted to offer both solar control and visual privacy. These vertical slats animate the façade, enabling residents to modulate light, ventilation, and openness according to daily needs. Framed by minimalist concrete geometry, the rhythmic timber panels add warmth and tactility to an otherwise restrained material palette. The result is a home that seamlessly merges function with elegance, where façade design becomes a dynamic interface between indoor life and the surrounding context.
The interior spaces are designed to mirror the clarity and calm of the exterior, with open-plan living areas that encourage family interaction while maintaining individual privacy across floors. Full-height glazing enhances the connection between indoors and the landscaped garden, while natural finishes and filtered daylight create a serene, resort-like atmosphere within the dense urban context.
Kasai House encapsulates a refined balance between form and function, where architectural clarity meets intimate living. Its thoughtful design responds not only to the urban surroundings but also to the personal rhythms of its inhabitants, offering a private sanctuary that remains open, adaptable, and enduring over time.
